HEAD OF RISK AND COMPLIANCE

POSITION: HEAD OF RISK AND COMPLIANCE (To Be Stationed in Barbados)

The job purpose is to acquire, build, expand, incentivize and effectively manage a network of Mobile Money Agents across the territory.

  • Responsible for the effective acquisition and management of Zeemoney agents’ network.
  • Effectively build and manage agent network to help Zeemoney build brand awareness, educate customers and meet system-wide liquidity demands.
  • Help build confidence among users through agent’s training in diverse ways to deliver positive customer experiences.
  • Identify the ways the operator, Zeemoney can safeguard its agent network from being abused.
  • Collaborate effectively and regularly with the operator to ensure agents are liquid.
  • Responsible to ensure always that agents are easily identified by customers and help build brand awareness for the service.
  • Responsible for agents adhere to Zeemoney branding standards by providing the appropriate collaterals as well as regular visits to ensure these standards are met.
  • Provide a manual for agents that includes step-by-step for each instruction for each transaction type.
  • Monitor on regular basis their adherence to prescribed business processes and provide additional training as needed.
  • Responsible for working with marketing teams to execute campaigns
  • Regularly submit reports on field operations to Line Manager in the right form and at the right time.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in the field to monitor agents’ activities including strict compliance to rules, regulations and processes.
  • Make periodic proposals to design incentive package for very productive agents.
  • Ensure that Agent on-boarding process/TAT are seamless, fast and meet the brand promise
  • Continuously look for ways to improve service delivery and offerings to agents and consumers
  • Develop Agent’s visit schedule and spend time with them to ensure that service availability is optimal
  • Must be willing to work for long hours, weekends and holidays to keep the whole ecosystem active. Duties are not limited to what is stated above as you will be required to perform other duties when the business demands you to.

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • BSc/BA in business administration, social studies or marketing
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Excellent presentation abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to compile and interpret statistical data and communicate it in a professional and understandable manner
  • Good interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships with people at all level
  • Commercial awareness, analytical and numerical skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Proven experience as efficient field sales and service officer
  • Knowledge in marketing as well as managing customer relationship effectively with little turnover
  • Broad knowledge in Regulatory Compliance pertaining to mobile money transactions and services will required
  • Broad knowledge in sales principles.
  • Two to three years of experience as Territory Officer or related in a position is ideal

POSITION: HEAD OF OPERATIONS (To Be Stationed in Barbados)

The job purpose is includes managing both the operations process, embracing design, planning, control, performance improvement, and operations strategy as well as managing a team of people, which involves both the engagement and development of these people.

  • Develop, document and maintain operational flows, reconciliation and settlement processes and procedures
  • Involve in system design, selection and play key role in the implementation of suitable systems and solutions
  • Manage the overall day-to-day operational processes within the operations team
  • Design, implement and manage a cohesive operational strategy and ensure operational efficiency
  • Create & maintain operational budgets and financial plans
  • Track and analyze metrics to determine growth opportunities and improvement areas

  • Planning/execution skills
  • Minimum of a 1st Degree in Economics or Business-related field
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in banking, financial services, or consumer industry a plus
  • A good understanding of balance sheet, a good sense of liability distribution in banking necessary and its importance on the balance sheet. Strong burden for profitability critical and must be able to demonstrate that burden
  • Deep understanding of regulatory and compliance needs in product development critical and should be able to develop relationships with regulatory team
  • Entrepreneurial with high business acumen
  • Ability to analyse data and make decisions or plan based on the outcome of the analysis
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams

PRODUCTS MANAGER MOBILE MONEY

POSITION: PRODUCTS MANAGER MOBILE MONEY (To Be Stationed in Barbados)

The job purpose is to assist craft and execute on the company’s product vision to provide friction-free financing to marketplace sellers and individuals. Additionally to be part of our “product engine” that drives product strategy and guides our platform through the entire product lifecycle.

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
  • Work closely with technology teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
  • Drive product launches including working with business stakeholders, executives, and other product management team members.
  • Act as product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of the product.
  • Represent the company by meeting customers to solicit feedback on company product and support services.
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve the current system, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer

  • Collect, review and analyse data on financially excluded persons, the players within the industry, banks, non-banks, mobile financial services providers and other relevant players for decision making.
  • Must be able to articulate the direction of financial inclusion, understand strategy and what direction to take within that space, coordinate agency and branchless banking opportunities and identify strategic third parties within the Multi-lateral and Bi-Lateral segment for valuable partnerships
  • Build relationships with key segments of the economy that has relevant transactions with bottom of pyramid
  • Be the face of Zeemoney in the realm of Financial Inclusion, seek to be an expert in policy, direction, data analysis and strategic thinking
  • Identify opportunities to render services on behalf of donor agencies that require cash out services to the bottom of pyramid and vulnerable class of society for a fee.
  • Work with Strategy and business development teams on how to penetrate the market of funding, identify key players within Private Equity, Venture Capital and Social Impact.
  • Grow customer wallet franchise with other global players for increased visibility for Zeemoney, and ensure regulatory and legal compliance at all times with FATF, build relationships with International Remittance partners for connectivity and understand what is going on within that sector of the economy globally and locally
  • Support product and service deployment from time to time, and other activities not directly related to job description but requested by supervisors.
